Foundation Repair and What it Can Do for You

Even the highest quality new home doesn't stay new forever. Over time, various factors can cause damage to the foundation of your home, including nearby tree roots, expanding clay soil and seasonal weather changes. These factors can cause your foundation to sink, or “settle,” changing the structure of the home and thereby decreasing its value overall.

Foundation Repair is the process used to help restore your home to its former glory by correcting the foundation where it has shifted. It usually involves two main steps: 1) placing support under the foundation to help prevent further sinking, and 2) adjusting the foundation to return it to its original position or as close as possible.

Foundation repair companies use pilings or piers to support the foundation. During this process, steel piers are hydraulically driven into the ground until they reach load bearing soil or bedrock. Then, the piers are used to transfer the weight of the home to load-bearing strata, completing the foundation repair process.

Only Olshan Foundation Solutions offers the innovative Cable Lock™ ST Plus Hybrid Foundation Repair System, which combines the advantages of durable concrete pilings with those of penetrating steel pilings. The steel segments provide added depth, while the concrete sections offer greater bearing area, which achieves better support. Both materials lock together with the Cable which ensures alignment, allows you to inspect the depth, and reinforces the entire system. Our exclusive Cable Lock™ ST Plus System is the leading foundation repair method available.

Not only that, but each Cable Lock™ ST Plus piling has an available Lifetime Transferable Warranty, allowing you to take comfort in knowing you have chosen Olshan, the leader in foundation repair, to protect your home.
